Roman Ruins, found under a market

Brain and I in front of the salting factory. They salted fish here when it was an active city.

Hole filled with water and change. Thus was part of the factory.

This is a 6th century church.

Me and a mosaic floor. The flash makes me look blue for some reason.

A marble bust of the Dark Lord that is almost 2000 years old.

Mama Clara

This is Mama Clara. She is the lady that is taking care of Andrew and I while we are living in Spain. She is a super sweet lady and a great cook. I was hoping to loss a little weight while I was here but if she keeps cooking like she has been, that is not going to happen.

Sevilla from the Air and Christopher Columbus

This is a view of the city. The building to the right of center is the archives of the Indias. That is where all the Spanish records from their exploration of the Americas are held.

The courtyard of the Cathedral. Those are all Orange trees.

This is the Tomb of the Explorer Christopher Columbus.
This thing is really big. It makes a statement. There was a test done in 2006 to conform that these are indeed the bones of the great explore. No matter your feelings on him, he changed the world as few have.

Two of the kingdoms of Spain

One of the 5 kingdoms of Spain before his conquest.

The Kingdom of the Granada is the pomegranate. If is under the staff. They were the last kingdom conquered during the reconquesta.

This is the bottom. If is actually in the part they are holding. There is so much detail in something at most people would not even see.

Me and the tomb. Just to give you an idea about its size.

Amazing Race Israel This

This is the first picture we were able to get. They ran us off the check point.
This is when we first got to them. They were trying to ask where were from. When they heard the United States they started talking to us in English. We had to carry the bed they were on with them in it about 50 yards to their check point. It was a lot of fun. There were about 40-50 helping or cheering them on. While we were carrying them they started chanting "United! United! United!" It was fun. I think this may be the first time ISA students have been on international TV.

They are trying to explain to us what we can do to help.
This was their check point. We had to leave before we could see where they placed in the event,

This was the other task that could be completed. I have no idea what it involved.

Internaional Superstar

The ISA Sevilla Spring 1 are now international stars. We helped take part in one of the task from the Amazing Race Israel addition. We had to lift the team and carry them in a bed about 150 feet to the finish line. It was cool. Pictures to come

Well, I'm here! I'm Sevilla Spain. It is a great city so far. I've not had the chance to see much of it but here are some pictures from my second day in Madrid and Toledo.

Madrid
This is where one of my favorite paintings is housed. The Garden of Earthly Delights. I never thought I'd get to see it in person but I did.

This is the Cathedral in Madrid. It is massive. It is not even listed as the biggest in Spain, That going to the one in Sevilla. As big as that one is I can't wait to see the other.

Toledo
Carlos V coat of arms. This was on every entrance to the city. It was a greeting from the Emperor.

Chains on the side of the church. They are there to show the freedom of the Christians who were enslaved by the Moors. The church was here Isabella and Ferdinand were suppose to be buried but were not.

Me and my friend Don Quixote. Toledo is where the author was born and raised.

The pizza I had for dinner. Yes I had pizza in Spain. Someone at another table had some and it looked amazing and it WAS!

A group of us at dinner. We are all making friends.
